Skyscraper Tower Cranes Pty Ltd

Skyscraper Tower Cranes provides specialised tower crane and mobile crane hire services, supported by experienced riggers, operators and dogmen.

We are seeking a full time Welder who can work independently and as part of a team to undertake welding, fabrication and repair work associated with our tower crane operations. The successful applicant will be reliable, safety-focused and capable of producing high-quality work in both workshop and construction-site environments.

To be successful in this role you will need:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and job requirements for welding and fabrication work
Select, measure and prepare steel and metal components in accordance with drawings and specifications
Prepare crane bases, brackets, frames, supports and other steel components, including cutting, grinding and weld preparation
Fit, align, assemble and weld metal components using appropriate welding and fabrication techniques
Weld and repair steel components used in tower crane installation, support and maintenance operations
Drill, cut and finish fabricated components to the required measurements,



fit and safety standards
Mark out metal stock using templates, gauges and measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication
Inspect welds and crane-related metal components for defects, cracks or damage and carry out repairs as required
Maintain welding and fabrication equipment, a safe work area and effective coordination with riggers, operators and site personnel.

Requirements/Skills Qualification:
Relevant certificate
At least 1 year of relevant experience
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Robust organisational and time management skills
Able to be practical and having technical ability
Able to undertake detailed and accurate work
Outstanding problem-solving skills
