HC Truck & Quad Driver – Full Time

Sturdy Group Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced HC Truck & Quad Dog Driver to join our team, based from Lonsdale, South Australia.

This is a Monday to Friday role primarily delivering quarry materials throughout metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding areas.

The role

You will be operating a 2005 Freightliner truck with Quad dog trailer, carting quarry products to construction and civil sites.

The truck is fitted with an 18-speed AutoShift / 3-pedal automated transmission, making it comfortable and straightforward to operate while still requiring positive heavy vehicle experience.

Typical duties include
Delivering quarry materials to construction and civil sites
Operating truck and quad dog combination
Completing daily pre-start checks
Maintaining the truck and trailer in a clean and presentable condition
Completing delivery paperwork and dockets
Communicating with quarry staff, site supervisors and customers
Operating safely and professionally at all times

What we're looking for

Applicants must have
Current HC licence
Experience driving truck and dog combinations preferred




Valuable understanding of heavy vehicle safety and load requirements
Reliable and punctual work ethic
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills
Strong awareness of fatigue management and road safety
Ability to look after equipment and report maintenance issues

Experience carting quarry products, rubble, sand, soil or similar materials will be highly regarded.

Hours

Monday to Friday The role is based from our Lonsdale yard, with daily travel to quarries and job sites throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas.

Some early starts and overtime may be available depending on workload.
