Fixed-term role to June 2028

Part time role – 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday)

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is Queensland’s peak industry body for tourism, working with industry and government to support a strong, skilled and sustainable visitor economy.

We’re a small, collaborative team delivering programs, partnerships and initiatives that make a real difference to tourism businesses and communities across Queensland.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Tourism Trainers Program Coordinator to lead the delivery of our Future Ready Tourism Trainers Queensland program.

The program will support experienced tourism, hospitality and events professionals to transition into training and assessment roles, helping strengthen the supply of skilled, industry-connected trainers across Queensland.

You will
Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the program.
Recruit, engage and support participants across Queensland.
Coordinate RTOs, training delivery and participant pathways.
Build strong relationships with industry, government,



employers and regional partners.
Manage program milestones, KPIs, budgets, reporting and compliance.
Support regional delivery and travel across Queensland as required.

About You

You’re an organised, proactive and relationship-focused program professional who enjoys bringing people and projects together to achieve solid outcomes.

You’ll bring
Experience in workforce, training, education, industry development or government-funded programs.
Knowledge of the VET sector and experience working with RTOs or training providers.
Robust project and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
Confidence working independently, managing competing priorities and delivering against deadlines.
A genuine interest in supporting Queensland’s tourism industry and regional workforce development.
