Civil Excavator Operator – Final Trim Experience

701 Recruitment is seeking experienced Civil Excavator Operators with proven final trim experience for ongoing work with a leading civil construction contractor across South East Queensland.
If you're confident completing detailed excavation, working to levels and tolerances and operating in tight areas around services, we want to hear from you.

The role:

You'll be completing detailed civil excavation and final trim works across a range of projects, including:
Final trim excavation to within 30mm tolerance
Working to levels, grades, plans and specifications
Detailed excavation around footings, trenches and drainage




Stripping footings and formation preparation
Working safely in tight proximity to underground services, machinery and site personnel
Operating 5T, 14T and 20T excavators
Loading trucks and moving materials
Assisting with general civil labouring when required

What we're looking for
Excavator RII – mandatory
Current White Card
Proven civil construction excavator experience
Hands-on final trim and detailed excavation experience
Strong understanding of levels, grades and tolerances
Confidence operating smaller excavators, including 5T machines
GPS experience highly regarded, but not essential
Own reliable transport
Willingness to travel between SEQ projects as required
Reliable, safety-focused and willing to jump off the machine when required

This isn't a bulk earthworks-only role. We're looking for operators with practical civil final trim experience who can confidently work to levels and achieve an accurate finish.
