About the role

Your purpose is easy: own the technical journey of our equipment, from confirmed machine selection through installation, commissioning, optimisation and ongoing customer support. You'll work alongside our commercial lead and director, with Meyer's engineering team behind you for specialised escalations. You'll be the person customers trust on site.

Key responsibilities
Install, commission and set up optical sorters and associated equipment
Train customer operators and maintenance teams
Carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
Provide remote support and configuration
Liaise with Meyer engineers on escalations and recurring issues
Run product testing, demonstrations and customer trials
Optimise machine settings for each customer's product and quality targets
Assess whether equipment can solve a customer's application, and prepare test reports
Support technical discussions during the sales process
Check drawings, site readiness, and electrical and pneumatic requirements before installs

About you
Technical background in processing, packaging, automation, vision or agricultural equipment
A trade or technical qualification (electrical, mechatronics, instrumentation or mechanical)



is highly regarded but not essential
Field service experience with processing, packaging, food, vision, weighing or agricultural equipment
Optical sorting or machine vision experience is highly regarded
Comfortable with software, sensors, cameras, pneumatics and machine configuration
Able to explain technical results clearly to production managers and plant owners
Self-directed and able to own a site job without supervision
Happy to travel regularly, including overnight, interstate and to New Zealand
Full driver's licence and current passport
