This is a wide-ranging role with no two days necessarily being the same. You will work across both workshop and mobile jobs, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Key responsibilities
Vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
Mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
Electrical and diagnostic troubleshooting
Brake, suspension and steering repairs
Engine and driveline repairs
Inspection and assessment of vehicles
Mobile breakdown and repair work
Working on light vehicles, 4WDs, commercial vehicles, trucks and equipment
Maintaining a clean, safe and professional work setting
Communicating professionally with customers and the team
About you
A Trade Certificate in Automotive/Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Previous industry experience
Robust mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
A current Australian driver's licence
The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Good communication and customer service skills
A strong focus on safety and quality
A reliable, positive and professional attitude
The ability to take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion
Experience with diesel engines, 4WDs, light commercial vehicles, trucks, hydraulics or machinery will be highly regarded
