We're looking for an experienced Cook/Chef to take ownership of our kitchen at Brady Bunch Hertford Street.
n
This is a great weekday role where you'll prepare fresh, nutritious meals for the children in our care, manage and organise your own kitchen space, and be a warm and welcoming part of our centre community.
n
Our healthy menu is already developed, with explicit systems, extensive training and ongoing support from our Food Safety & Kitchen Operations Manager.
The Role n
n
Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks from our established menu
n
Take ownership of your kitchen – keeping it organized, clean, safe and running smoothly
n
Safely manage allergies, medical and dietary requirements
n
Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
n
Be warm, friendly and comfortable engaging with children and families
n
Join in fun cooking and food experiences with the children
n




Work collaboratively as part of our wider centre team
n
About You n
You'll be someone who:
n
n
Has previous cook or chef experience – childcare experience is a bonus, not essential
n
Is organized, reliable and confident taking responsibility for their kitchen
n
Has strong food safety knowledge and attention to detail
n
Understands allergy management and preventing cross-contamination
n
Is warm, approachable and genuinely enjoys being around children
n
Is committed to child safety, wellbeing and our Child Safe Standards
n
Holds a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or is willing and eligible to obtain one
n
Is willing to complete all required child safety training
n
