Deliver expert electrical engineering advice and technical supervision across maintenance, construction, and upgrade projects.
n
Work in a team environment to deliver state-wide technical programs including, but not limited to, The Housing Energy Initiative Capital Improvement programs.
n
Coordinate, in conjunction with relevant technical officers, the preparation of detailed scopes of work and estimates in response to client requests.
n
Undertake on-site audits and inspections of campus-wide electrical, solar and Air conditioning systems.
n
Lead and mentor teams, managing performance, development, and apprentice supervision.
n
Ensure full compliance with electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards, and the company Electrical Safety Management System.
n
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and quality inspections of field staff and contractors to uphold WHS and electrical compliance.
n
Maintain and implement safety management systems, ensuring a healthy and inclusive work environment.
n
Stay current with legislative and standards updates, ensuring information is clearly communicated across teams.
n
Hold and maintain required certifications: CPR, LVR, White Card, current "C" class licence, and working knowledge of AS/NZ**** and related standards.
n
Your place of work is the Depot, plus any required site and project visits (company vehicle provided).
n
Monday to Friday role, typically working 40 hours a week
n
Any remote or regional travel is covered by the employer
n
Overtime is paid in line with the Government EBA penalty rates
n
Company vehicles are provided for any field-based work and travel
n

n
Stable, full-time government role in a supportive team environment

Key Responsibilities

Your Experience and Qualifications
n
n
Ideally possess 5+ years of recent post-trade experience as an Electrician
n
Demonstrate previous Supervisory or Team leader capabilities
n
Have experience in PV solar installation and split Air-conditioning systems to residential and commercial buildings.
n
Current QLD Electrical Work Licence
n
"C" Class driver's licence (minimum)
n
Construction White Card
n
LVR & CPR
n
Blue Card – working with children is an advantage
n
Must be able to pass a criminal history check
