New Grad/ Early Career Occupational Therapist

Active Life OT is a community occupational therapy service, working with adult clients in their homes across the Central Coast, NSW. We pride ourselves in offering an extremely high quality and tailored OT service with local knowledge and established relationships with other local providers to ensure we get the best outcome for all our clients.

We currently have an opportunity to welcome a new graduate or early career OT into our small and very supportive team based in Erina. The role is offered on a full-time basis and there is opportunity for flexible working. The role will be adjusted to suit your own personal interests, experience, skill set and CPD goals.

The majority of our clients are adult NDIS participants who live with a physical and/ or intellectual disability. We offer functional capacity assessments, assistive technology (AT) assessments including wheelchairs and seating, manual handling assessments, home modifications (minor and complex) as well as SIL/ ILO and SDA assessments. Referrals are allocated to fit in with each of our OT's particular strengths and skillsets. We do not accept referrals if we do not have the relevant OT skills to provide a high-quality service.

Direct supervision and training will be provided by the Principal OT with over 30 years' experience. Shadowing and joint working will ensure you build your confidence and skills at the right pace for you.

Active Life OT sees clients throughout the Central Coast, so you must be mobile, and be happy to travel to North and South ends of the Central Coast, although visits are grouped where possible.

To be Considered you will be expected to have:

Occupational Therapy Degree and Full AHPRA Registration (or pending both)
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Certificate of currency for Professional Indemnity Insurance to start in the role
n
A current driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
n
Current Police Check and WWCC (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting)
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Completion Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
