n About Rock Sugar
n Rock Sugar is looking for experienced, energetic wait staff to join our team!
n
We're a Thai fusion venue known for amazing food, delicious cocktails, and warm, attentive service. We also host a range of private functions in our event space (up to 30 pax), so we're looking for someone who can confidently manage a section, or if events are booked to help coordinate these events on the day.
n

What's on offer?

2–3 evening shifts per week
n
Saturday availability is essential
n
No late nights — 11pm finish at the latest
n
Additional shifts and opportunities available for the right person

Typical roster
n
n
Friday (optional): 6pm–10pm / 10:30pm
n
Saturday (required): 6pm–10:30pm / 11pm
n
Weeknight or Sunday (optional): 6pm–9:30pm

About you
n
Our ideal candidate is an experienced section waiter who is:
n
n
Confident managing their own section
n
Highly organised and able to multitask
n




Calm and capable in a busy service
n
Confident communicating with the kitchen and wider team
n
Experienced in managing dietary requirements, particularly for larger groups
n
Friendly, engaging and genuinely enjoys connecting with customers
n
A strong team player with a positive attitude
n
Reliable and professional, with a great eye for detail
n
n

n
Events experience is highly desirable, particularly experience coordinating functions or working with larger groups.

Your responsibilities
n
n
Managing your own section throughout service
n
Providing friendly, attentive customer service
n
Taking orders and processing payments
n
Running food and drinks
n
Communicating clearly with the kitchen and bar
n
Managing dietary requirements and special requests
n
Assisting with the coordination and smooth running of private events
n
Working collaboratively with the wider team
n

What you'll need
n
n
Previous experience managing a section — essential
n
Current RSA certificate — essential
n
Events or functions experience — highly desirable
n
Strong communication and customer service skills
n
A positive, team-focused attitude
n
n
