An exciting opportunity for an Emerging Textile Designer or Graphic Designer with a passion for textiles to join our team for22.8 hours per week in our Brunswick East office, Melbourne.
n
The main skills required will be drawing, developing design concepts for ranges of traditional, organic and geometric styles across all aspects for a mattress. You will play with textures, scale and develop stories of patterns. To be considered you must have excellent drawing skills and be able to demonstrate these.

What will you do?
n
A typical day will include:
n
n
Creating Mood Boards
n
Designing concepts for multi-level ranges, including all aspects of the customers' requirements
n
Trend forecasting
n
Specification set up
n
Sample and library management
n
Creating showroom experiences
n
Liaising with overseas factories
n




Learning qualities and production
n
Working with all stakeholders
n
Presenting product, design and colour direction both internal and external customers
n
Market research
n
n
ABOUT YOU
n
n
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Textile Design or Graphic Design, be creative, think outside the square and make things look excellent!
n
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
n
Creative and an exceptional eye for design and detail
n
Strong drawing and illustration skills
n
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
n
Have a "can do" attitude
n
Love working collaboratively with a team
n
You are punctual and proactive, with an ability to coordinate and prioritise
n
