BMS Service Technician | Defence Contract

Join a growing building automation team delivering a newly secured Defence contract across NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced BMS Service Technician to work across critical Defence infrastructure, supporting a diverse range of BMS platforms while enjoying long‐term job security, technical variety and genuine growth opportunities.

This is a full‐time position primarily based at Williamtown, supporting Defence facilities across the region with occasional travel to other sites as required.
n
The Role
n
As a key member of the service team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding, optimisation and support of Building Management Systems across multiple Defence sites.
n
Working in a multi‐vendor environment, you will gain exposure to a range of market‐leading technologies including Delta Controls, Johnson Controls (JCI), KMC, Vicon and Reliable Controls.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Planned and reactive maintenance of BMS and control systems
n
System diagnostics, fault finding and rectification
n
Software modifications and minor upgrades where required
n
Maintaining strong client relationships across Defence facilities
n
Supporting compliance and reporting requirements
n
Assisting with commissioning and project activities as the contract expands
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:




n
n
Previous experience as a BMS Service Technician, Controls Technician or similar role
n
Trade qualifications as an Electrician or Refrigeration Technician
n
Current unrestricted Electrical Licence or Electrical Restricted Licence (essential)
n
Experience working with Building Management Systems and HVAC controls
n
Exposure to Delta Controls highly regarded
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving abilities
n
The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
n
A professional approach to customer service and stakeholder engagement
n
A positive attitude and willingness to continue developing your technical skills
n
n
Eligibility Requirements
n
Due to the nature of the sites supported, applicants must:
n

Be an Australian Citizen
n
Be eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Security Clearance
n
Successfully complete police, security and background checks
n
