To be considered, you will need to be able to provide evidence of:
n
n
Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably within an aged care or healthcare environment
n
Experience preparing meals for large groups
n




Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
n
Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, where required
n
Valid Police Check
n
100 Points of ID
n
Valid Work Rights
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
n

What will you be doing? Cook / Chef
n
n
Preparing and cooking nutritious and high-quality meals for residents
n
Following menus, recipes and dietary requirements
n
Preparing meals that cater to special dietary needs, allergies and texture-modified diets
n
Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
n
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
n
Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
n
Managing food preparation areas and kitchen equipment
n
Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring food supplies
n
Minimising food waste and maintaining appropriate portion sizes
n
Working collaboratively with kitchen and facility staff
n
Creating a positive dining experience for residents
