Trade Counter / Storesperson - Steel & Industrial Supplies
We're looking for an experienced Storesperson / Trade Counter professional to join a well-established steel and industrial supplies business in Brookvale.
This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the warehouse while also dealing directly with customers.
You'll be part of a busy trade environment where no two days are the same, working across customer service, order picking, stock control and warehouse operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders across a wide range of products, from small hardware through to structural steel
Serve customers at the trade counter, understand their requirements and assist them with product selection
Check stock availability and provide customers with accurate delivery timeframes
Receive, unload and organise incoming stock
Safely move and store products throughout the warehouse
Assist with loading customer and delivery vehicles
Maintain accurate stock levels and keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised
Work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure customers receive a great experience
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and confident dealing with customers, with:
2-3+ years' experience in a busy warehouse environment
Experience in hardware, steel, industrial supplies, trade centres, automotive or spare parts highly regarded
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face and understanding their needs
Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks
A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved across the warehouse
Forklift Licence highly regarded, but not essential
