Occupational Therapist - Home and Living Assessments
Occupational Therapist – Home & Living Assessments
FCA | SIL | SDA | ILO - Full-time & part-time opportunities | Sydney based | Work from home
Not every Occupational Therapist wants to provide ongoing therapy.
Some love pulling together complex information, analysing functional performance, understanding what support a person really needs to live safely and independently, and translating that into explicit, defensible clinical evidence.
That's exactly who we're looking for.
Verve OT is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team with a specific focus on NDIS Home & Living assessments.
Your caseload will primarily include:
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments
Individualised Living Options (ILO) assessments
Other complexHome & Living assessments
These are often complex cases requiring you to look beyond a participant's diagnosis and clearly demonstrate their functional capacity, support needs, risks, informal supports, living environment and the evidence underpinning recommended support arrangements.
This isn't a generic community OT role
You won't be expected to provide ongoing therapy or carry a broad caseload covering a little bit of everything.
We're specifically looking for OTs who enjoyassessment, clinical reasoning and report writingand want to develop genuine expertise in the NDIS Home & Living space.
You'll work with participants with complex support needs and collaborate with families, support coordinators, providers and other stakeholders to build a comprehensive picture of the participant's current and future Home & Living needs.
For experienced clinicians, there are also opportunities to work on particularly complex matters,
includingAdministrative Review Tribunal (ART) cases, medico-legal assessments and expert evidence.
Why Verve OT?
Verve OT is one of Australia's leading NDIS occupational therapy practices, supporting participants across Sydney through high-quality assessment services.
Our team is recognised nationally through conference presentations, education, advocacy and professional leadership, but first and foremost, we're clinicians who care about doing excellent work.
You'll be joining a team with extensive experience inFCA, SIL, SDA and complex NDIS assessment, with access to established assessment frameworks, report templates, clinical resources, mentoring and peer support.
Through our connection withVerve OT Learningand the nationally recognisedOT Unplugged podcast, you'll also be working within a practice that is closely connected to developments across the NDIS and the broader OT profession.
If you're an OT who loves the thinking behind complex assessments, values high-quality clinical evidence and wants to become genuinely skilled in the Home & Living space, we'd love to hear from you.
Why experienced OTs choose Verve OT
If you're looking for another generic community OT role, this probably isn't it.
Our therapists join us because they want to deepen their expertise, produce work they're proud of, and be surrounded by clinicians who genuinely enjoy learning from each other.
You'll enjoy:
An assessment-focused caseload with no ongoing therapy
The opportunity to develop a genuine area of expertise rather than being expected to do everything
Structured onboarding, mentoring and clinical supervision from experienced assessment clinicians
Internal and external professional development to continually build your skills
Flexible work arrangements with the autonomy to manage your own schedule
A collaborative team that values quality, curiosity and continuous improvement

The therapists who thrive at Verve OT are naturally curious.
They enjoy solving complex clinical problems, gathering evidence, asking "why", and producing reports they can confidently stand behind.
They don't chase shortcuts, they're passionate about doing quality work.
You'll likely be a great fit if you:
Have experience working within the NDIS
Take pride in producing high-quality work
Want to keep learning and developing your expertise
