We're looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join the team in a hands-on workshop and field-based role, servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of equipment.
n
This is a great opportunity for a qualified mechanic from a Mobile Plant, Diesel, Heavy Vehicle, Truck, Forklift or Plant Hire background who is looking for a diverse role and the opportunity to develop their skills across different types of equipment.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel & hydraulic equipment
n
Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs
n
Diagnosing and fault-finding diesel engines, hydraulic and mechanical systems
n
Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop
n
Completing inspections and preparing equipment for hire
n
Conducting routine maintenance and safety inspections
n




Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting
n
Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service
n
Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard
n
Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers
n
What You'll Need n
n
Certificate III in Diesel, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Forklift or a related mechanical trade
n
Previous experience as a qualified mechanic within a workshop, field service, plant, transport, truck, forklift or equipment environment
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
n
Good diesel engine diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
n
Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems
n
Professional approach when dealing directly with customers
n
Current driver's licence
n
