About the role

Working closely with Executive Chefs Khanh Nguyen and Dan Anderson and the senior kitchen team, you will play an key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining the standards of the restaurant and developing the team around you.

Key responsibilities
Supporting the Executive Chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
Leading and mentoring the kitchen team during service
Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
Ensuring preparation, service and kitchen operations run efficiently
Contributing to menu development, recipe testing and new dish development
Managing ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
Monitoring food quality, waste and kitchen costs
Training and developing junior chefs
Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chefs

About you




Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP/Senior CDP experience in a quality-driven restaurant
A strong understanding of contemporary restaurant cooking and high-volume service
Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
The ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
Good communication and organisational skills
A calm, skilled approach during busy service
A genuine interest in produce, technique and developing your craft
A desire to grow within a progressive restaurant group
