Teddy Espresso Smithfield is seeking an experienced barista to join our passionate and energetic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for serving quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service—ultimately, we are striving for the best coffee experience.

Key responsibilities

Daily maintenance of coffee equipment including opening and cleaning
n
Monitor and dial coffees served to maintain the utmost quality of each and every cup
n
Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to our recipes and quality standards
n
Ensure presentation of the final products up to standard including latte art
n
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work-station, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulation
n
Efficient communication with team members for smooth workflow
n
Read the space and team play for effective and efficient workflow
n
Uphold Teddy Espresso's brand image and values at all times
n

About you




n
n
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee roasters
n
Extensive understanding in specialty coffee including Origins, Processing Methods, Varietals and Roasting
n
Ability to cup and score in accordance with SCA standard
n
Knowledge to create brew recipes with the factors of Grind Size, Dose, Yield, Brew Time and Temperature
n
Knowledge of current and past coffee culture
n
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
n
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
n
Strong customer service skill and problem solving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
