Compliance Manager – Transport & Chain of Responsibility

Aceit Transport Solutions is a South Australian owned and operated transport business providing courier, taxi truck and freight services.
n
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager for a six-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
n
About the Role
n
You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, oversight and continuous improvement of Aceit's established transport compliance framework, with a primary focus on Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR requirements, transport safety, AMCAS accreditation and regulatory compliance.
n
Working closely with management, Fleet and Operations, you will ensure compliance requirements are maintained and embedded into day-to-day operations.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Maintain and oversee Aceit's Chain of Responsibility (CoR) framework
n
Monitor relevant transport legislation and regulatory requirements, including NHVR requirements
n
Develop, maintain and review compliance policies, procedures and registers
n
Maintain AMCAS accreditation and coordinate accreditation audits, reviews and corrective actions
n
Conduct regular fleet and client-site compliance audits
n
Maintain contractor compliance records, including licences, registrations, insurance, servicing, inductions and clearances
n
Administer and maintain contractor compliance information within RAPID
n
Oversee transport-related incident reporting,



investigations and corrective actions
n
Provide compliance advice and guidance to management and operational teams
n
Work directly with contractor drivers and fleet owners where compliance matters arise
n
Maintain accurate compliance records and reporting
n
Identify opportunities to improve compliance systems, processes and reporting.
n
Must Have
n
Demonstrated experience in compliance, safety or risk management within the transport industry
n
Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations
n
Sound understanding of heavy vehicle transport compliance requirements
n
Experience managing compliance audits, registers, policies and procedures
n
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
n
Solid communication and organisational skills
n
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
Ability to address compliance issues professionally and consistently
n
Experience with AMCAS, RAPID, HUB FMS or similar systems, and experience working with contractor based transport fleets, will be highly regarded.
