Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking an experienced
Workshop Leading Hand
to join our Revesby team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians across New Build and Retail Repair activities, driving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified professional looking to grow their leadership career while remaining hands-on in a busy, high-performing workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and efficiency
Lead, mentor, and support technicians to achieve quality and performance targets
Monitor workflow and job progress to ensure customer deadlines are met
Provide technical guidance and support across New Build and Retail Repair work
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on machine performance and repairs
Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture
Support continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations
Ensure high standards of workmanship, quality control, and customer service
About You
You'll bring:
Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or similar
Experience maintaining and repairing construction, earthmoving, mining, or heavy equipment is highly regarded but not essential
Strong commitment to safety and quality
