The Role
n
We are seeking a reliable Orchard Machinery Operator with ChemCert to join the team in Wandown Orchard. This role will support day-to-day orchard operations, with a strong focus on operating agricultural machinery, chemical and weed spraying, equipment maintenance, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

What You'll Do:
n
In this role, you will support day-to-day orchard operations, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of farm machinery, chemical and weed spraying, equipment maintenance, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
n
Your day-to-day duties will include:
n
n
Operating tractors and other orchard machinery safely and efficiently
n
Carrying out chemical and weed spraying activities in accordance with workplace procedures
n
Maintaining and cleaning machinery and equipment
n
Identifying and reporting mechanical issues promptly
n
Maintaining accurate records of spraying activities and machine usage
n
Following all WHS (Work Health & Safety) procedures and correctly using required PPE
n
Assisting with general orchard duties including irrigation, pruning, picking and cleaning
n
$***** per hour + penalty rates
n
Consistent hours with approximately 38 hours per week
n
Valuable experience in machinery operator and site operations
n

Your Skills & Experience:
n
To be considered for the role, it is significant you can demonstrate the following:
n
n
A current driver licence and reliable transport to and from work
n
Current ChemCert certification
n
Previous chemical application and spraying experience
n
Experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery
n
Able to understand and follow work instructions, including safety instructions, given over two-way radio
n
Good awareness of workplace health and safety practices
n
Able to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions
n
