Experienced Forklift Operators - Transport & Logistics

Driver Hire Tasmania is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to support a number of our transport and logistics clients as we head into a busy period.
n
Our clients include major transport companies, express freight operations and 3PL warehouses, and we're looking for confident operators who can step into fast-paced environments and contribute from day one.
n
About the Roles
n
Depending on the assignment, your duties may include:
n
n
Operating counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
n
Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
n
Moving, stacking and staging palletised freight
n
Putaway and stock movements within warehouse environments
n
Receiving and dispatching freight
n
RF scanning and freight checking
n
Pick and pack duties
n
Manual handling and general warehouse support
n
Working closely with drivers, warehouse teams and supervisors
n
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
n
n




These are busy operational environments, so we're particularly interested in people who are comfortable on a forklift, understand how freight operations work and can maintain safety and accuracy when the pressure is on.

What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience within transport, freight, warehousing or 3PL environments highly regarded
n
Confidence loading and unloading vehicles and handling palletised freight
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
Reliable, punctual and ready to work
n
Positive communication skills and a team-focused attitude
n
Flexibility to work across different shifts and client sites
n
