Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Synapse Engineer to join an enterprise data engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions in a regulated environment. The role will involve hands-on engineering across the Azure data platform, while also contributing to solution design, technical direction, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise data solutions using Azure data platform technologies.
Work extensively with Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
Contribute to solution architecture and influence technical decisions across data engineering initiatives.
Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and engineering solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Implement and support CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering workloads.
Collaborate closely with Architecture, Platform, Business, and Delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.




Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Ensure solutions meet the required standards for security, scalability, reliability, and governance, particularly within regulated settings.

Key Requirements
10+ years of overall software/data engineering experience.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud data platforms.
Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, and ADLS.
Solid understanding of data engineering principles, scalable data solutions, and enterprise data platforms.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps practices.
Experience delivering solutions within large-scale or regulated enterprise environments.
Ability to contribute to solution design and technical direction.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
