We are seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Maintenance Team Leaderto take charge of an on-ground field teamacross the Southern Side of Brisbane -Logan and surrounds.
n
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors and leading by example. You'll be responsible for day-to-day supervision of a small crew carrying out activities such as native planting and weed control ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
n
You'll work closely with Project Managers and Ecologists to bring restoration plans to life and deliver measurable ecological outcomes.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Lead and work alongside a small team undertaking on-ground restoration and offset works.
n
Carry out and oversee:
n
n
Native tree and shrub planting
n
Weed control (chemical and manual methods)
n
General maintenance
n
n
Ensure all tasks are performed safely, on time, and to specification.
n
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in positive working order.
n
Record field data and complete daily work reports.
n
Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and site conditions.
n
Promote a positive and safe team culture.
n
About You
n
You're a practical, reliable leader who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and takes pride in achieving high-quality environmental outcomes. You're organised, safety-focused, and comfortable managing a small crew in the field.
n
Essential Skills and Experience
n
Proven experience leading or supervising field staff in environmental restoration, bush regeneration, or land management.
n
Strong knowledge of native vegetation, weed species,



and control techniques.
n
Competent in the safe use of herbicides and small plant/equipment (brush cutters, chainsaws, pumps, sprayers, etc.).
n
White Card and Chemical Accreditation (ACDC or equivalent).
n
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
n
First Aid Certificate.
n
Experience working on environmental offset projects.
