Surrounding our vineyards, Cellar Door and Restaurant are established lawns, an orchard and significant National Trust-listed trees that form an important part of Tahbilk's history and character.

Our Restaurant overlooks the Estate's beautiful wetlands, which incorporate intricate internal billabong systems that create a unique microclimate and provide an important habitat for a diverse range of plant and animal life.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
We are looking for a Gardener to join our small and dedicated team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beautiful grounds of the Tahbilk Estate.
n
This is a permanent, full-time position Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3.30pm.
n
Working across our gardens, grounds and surrounding estate, your responsibilities will include:
n

Mowing and maintaining lawns and grassed areas
n
Weeding and general garden maintenance
n
Pruning and maintaining trees, shrubs and plants
n
Hedging
n
Irrigation maintenance
n
Spraying and chemical application
n




Operating chainsaws and other garden machinery
n
General grounds and garden maintenance
n
Assisting with ongoing improvements to the Estate's gardens and grounds
n
n
ABOUT YOU
n
We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for gardening and horticulture, a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining beautiful grounds.
n
You will enjoy working as part of a small team but also be comfortable working independently and managing your own tasks.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens
n
Previous experience in gardening, grounds maintenance or horticulture
n
Experience using manual and powered garden machinery
n
Experience with irrigation, pruning, hedging and general garden maintenance
n
The ability to safely use and handle chemicals in accordance with OHS requirements and industry standards
n
A strong commitment to safe work practices
n
Good communication skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Good organisation and time management skills
n
A good level of physical fitness to undertake the requirements of the role
n
A current driver's licence
n
A willingness to undertake training and further develop your skills
n
