About the opportunity n
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining and improving seed quality from testing through to production.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Conducting seed quality testing across crops
n
Planning and executing pilot‐line testing projects
n




Testing incoming crops prior to commercial production
n
Preparing, processing, labelling and storing seed samples
n
Collecting, analysing and reporting test data to support timely production decisions
n
Supporting research and seed testing programs focused on product improvement and breeding
n
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs and quality standards
n
Ensuring testing procedures comply with relevant ISTA guidelines
n
Identifying and communicating non‐conformances
n
Maintaining accurate laboratory records, databases and reports
n
Contributing to method improvements, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions and technical documentation
n
Profile About you n
We're looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a genuine interest in agriculture, science and research.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
A Bachelor's degree in a related field OR minimum 2 years experience working within Quality Control
n
An understanding of laboratory procedures
n
Practical experience in field‐based agriculture or research will be highly regarded
n
Robust data management and documentation skills
n
Experience with Office 365 and ERP systems
n
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
n
The ability to work effectively within a research‐focused environment
n
A current Australian driver's licence
n
