Grand Prix Narangba is seeking a skilled Parts Interpreter to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Narangba, QLD ****. As a Parts Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in our automotive operation, serving as the vital link between customers, technicians, and our inventory management systems. This position is essential to ensuring productive parts identification, ordering, and delivery, whilst maintaining exceptional customer service standards. You will be responsible for accurately interpreting technical specifications, vehicle requirements, and service requests to provide the right parts solutions every time.

Key responsibilities

Identify and interpret vehicle specifications and parts requirements from customer requests and work orders
n
Search and navigate parts catalogues, computer systems, and technical databases to locate correct parts information
n
Communicate with customers, technicians, and service advisors to clarify parts requirements and specifications
n
Verify part numbers, compatibility, and availability across inventory management systems
n
Process parts orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct quantities and delivery specifications
n
Maintain detailed records of parts requests, orders, and customer interactions
n
Provide technical advice to customers and internal staff regarding part applications and compatibility
n
Manage parts inventory organisation and stock control procedures
n
Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and company policies
n
Contribute to a professional and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues
n
What we're looking for
n
Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter, Parts Advisor, or similar role within the automotive industry
n
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and part identification across various makes and models
n




Proficiency with automotive parts management software and computer systems
n
Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications
n
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly
n
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when handling part numbers and specifications
n
Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
n
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and prioritise effectively
n
A valid driver's licence would be advantageous
n
Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential if you possess strong practical experience
