Job Description
Reporting to the FleetManager,the positionincludes the following responsibilities:
Run to timeslots, delivering general freight in and around the Regional, Metropolitan areas and occasionally interstate
Travelling to various customers sites and preparingtrucks to be unloaded / loaded
Flexibility to respond to business needs at short notice
Work Health and Safety




Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as peroperational requirements
Performing vehicle pre-start checks
Complete all paperwork requirements
Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers / Trailers / SCT & customerpremises
Policies and Procedures
Comply with all site requirements and such other mattersas may be directed by the Company
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience
Current MC Driver's license
Singles & B-Double driving experience
Impeccable safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
Knowledge
Operation of a Prime Mover and trailer sets
Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures
Personal Qualities
Reliable and punctual
Flexibility with start and finish times
Reliability, Honesty & Motivation
Strong work ethic
Strong safety and driving focus
Hold a passion for providing a high-level of service with a positive attitude and work collaboratively within a team
