Shingle Inn City Hall is seeking an experienced and passionate
Cafe Manager
to oversee the operations of our iconic cafe location within Brisbane's City Hall. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a talented team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth running of the cafe, upholding long-held traditions, for our almost 90-year-old Brand. This is a full-time position, noting we are a 7-day a week business.
What you'll be doing n
n
Oversee all day-to-day cafe operations, including managing team rosters, ordering, and financial reporting
n
Ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience for all customers
n
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of baristas, customer service, and kitchen team members
n
Implement and maintain productive systems and procedures to optimise cafe productivity
n
Identify areas for improvement for customer service and Google Reviews
n
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that aligns with the company's values
n
Coordinate with the head office team on marketing, promotions, and other strategic initiatives
n
What we're looking for n
n
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant management role
n
Strong leadership and people management skills,



with the ability to motivate and develop a team
n
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
n
Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with attention to detail
n
Familiarity with food safety regulations and cafe operations best practices
n
Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
