Develop and implement legal and compliance strategies tailored to the retail sector.
n
Provide expert legal advice to support business objectives and mitigate risks.
n
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
n
Manage and oversee legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.
n
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on legal matters.
n
Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate measures.
n
Lead and mentor a team within the legal department.

Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the retail industry.

The Successful Applicant
n
A successful Legal and Compliance General Manager should have:
n
n
A degree in Law or a related field.
n
Proven experience in legal and compliance roles within the retail industry.
n
Has experience in corporate or commercial law.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian laws and regulations.
n
Permanent residency

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
n
Ability to provide strategic legal advice in a busy setting.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
n
Proficiency in managing contracts and legal documentation.
