We currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Batch & Furnace Operator (Shift Relief) to join our manufacturing team at our Adelaide Plant in West Croydon.
n
This role offers a structured competency-based pay progression:
n
n
$***** per hour (approximately $84K per annum inclusive of shift penalties) plus overtime opportunities and superannuation during the first 12 months.
n
$***** per hour (approximately $104K per annum inclusive of shift penalties) plus overtime opportunities and superannuation after 12 months.
n
$***** per hour (approximately $115K per annum inclusive of shift penalties) plus overtime opportunities and superannuation upon successful completion of all required competencies.
n
n
As a Shift Relief Operator, you will provide leave coverage across both a standard day shift roster and a 3-on, 2-off continuous rotating roster consisting of day, afternoon and night shifts within the Batch & Furnace Department.
n
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
n
n
Ensuring raw material and recycled glass (cullet) batches meet required quality standards.
n
Inspect finished product and undertaking product quality control testing.
n
Monitoring and controlling furnace parameters including temperature, pressure and glass level.
n




Monitoring and responding to plant and production system alarms to ensure secure and efficient operations.
n
Identifying, reporting and assisting with equipment maintenance requirements.
n
Assisting with mechanical maintenance activities and equipment calibrations.
n
Operating forklifts, front-end loaders and tipper trucks to load and unload raw materials.
n
Completing accurate written and electronic operational records.
n
Providing relief coverage for Shift Operators as required.
n
Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
n
n
What you will bring to the team:
n
You will have at least 12 months experience within a manufacturing, process or industrial environment and be able to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude. Experience in Batch & Furnace operations will be highly regarded.
n
The following licences and experience are advantageous:
n
n
Current Forklift Licence.
n
Front-End Loader experience and/or licence.
n
Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence.
n
Trade qualification or trade-based background.
n
n
