About the role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Deputy Principal to join Seaview Christian College in Port Augusta, South Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a critical leadership role in the college's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. As Deputy Principal, you will work closely with the Principal to provide educational leadership, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the college maintains its commitment to academic excellence and Christian values. This role requires a senior leader with extensive experience in school management and a passion for student outcomes and staff development.
Key responsibilities
Provide strategic educational leadership alongside the Principal, contributing to the development and implementation of the college's vision and strategic goals
Manage curriculum development and implementation, ensuring alignment with national and state education standards
Oversee student welfare, discipline and behaviour management policies, creating a positive and safe learning environment
Lead staff performance management, professional development and recruitment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Manage budgets and resources to support educational outcomes and college operations
Liaise with parents, carers and community stakeholders to build strong relationships and engagement




Lead whole-school initiatives and projects to enhance student achievement and wellbeing
Ensure compliance with education legislation, regulations and accreditation requirements
Deputise for the Principal in their absence and manage key operational decisions
Support the integration of Christian values throughout the college community
What we're looking for
A teaching qualification recognised in South Australia, with qualified registration with the Teachers Registration Board
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation of educational initiatives
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, pedagogy and contemporary educational practices
Proven ability to manage budgets, resources and operational matters effectively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the community
Strong commitment to student welfare, inclusivity and diversity
Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence
Understanding of and commitment to Christian values and their application in an educational setting
Current knowledge of education legislation and accreditation requirements in South Australia
