About the role
n
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team at our Bayswater, VIC location. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cabinet-making projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality bespoke cabinetry solutions for a variety of clients. You will in our workshop, utilising your technical expertise and craftsmanship to produce exceptional results that meet exacting client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Construct custom cabinet solutions based on client requirements, site measurements, and technical drawings
n
Operate and maintain a range of workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials
n
Construct and assemble cabinetry components with precision, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality
n
Finish and treat timber surfaces, including sanding, staining,



and applying protective coatings
n
Occasionally, Install completed cabinetry on-site, ensuring proper fitting, alignment, and secure attachment
n
Inspect completed work to verify quality and compliance with specifications before delivery
n
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and timelines are maintained
n
Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation, and adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
n
Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices in cabinet making techniques and materials
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Formal qualification in carpentry or cabinet making (Certificate III/IV in Carpentry and Cabinet Making or equivalent)
n
Proven experience working as a Cabinet Maker, ideally within shopfitting or bespoke cabinetry environments
n
Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery such as table saws, panel saws, sanders, and joinery equipment
n
Robust knowledge of timber types, finishes, and joinery techniques, including traditional and contemporary methods
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints,



and CAD designs accurately
n
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship
n
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to project-specific challenges
n
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively and take direction
n
Current knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and a commitment to safe working practices
n
Physical capability to lift and carry materials, work at heights, and perform repetitive tasks
n
Preferred: Experience with CAD software, CNC machinery, or experience in the shopfitting industry
n
