Our valued client is a major recycling facility based in Laverton North, recycling more than 20,000 tonnes of post-consumer high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics every year — the equivalent of more than half a billion plastic milk bottles and food tubs.

We are currently seeking a Forklift Driver / Manual Sorter to join their busy recycling operation on an ongoing basis.

This is a highly hands-on role, with approximately 95% manual sorting and 5% forklift operation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial workplace.

THE ROLE:
Monday to Friday
7:00am - 3:00pm
$37.06 per hour casual rate
Ongoing casual position
Consistent work and hours each week
Immediate start available
In office meet and greet required prior to commencement

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working as part of the recycling production team, your duties will include:
Manually sorting recyclable materials as they come off the production lines
Separating materials and placing them into the correct designated areas
Performing regular manual handling and repetitive tasks
Operating a forklift when required — approximately 5% of the role
Keeping work areas clean,



organised and safe
Following workplace health and safety procedures
Working efficiently as part of a busy production team

ABOUT YOU:

This role is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable being on your feet and performing manual handling duties throughout the day.

You must
Be physically fit, energetic and reliable
Be comfortable standing and performing manual duties for up to 8 hours
Be able to work in a noisy, rapid-paced industrial environment
Have excellent verbal communication skills
Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Be reliable and committed to ongoing work
Be comfortable performing repetitive manual sorting tasks

REQUIREMENTS:
Current LF Forklift Licence
Own reliable car and valid driver's licence
Full working rights in Australia
Ability to commit to Monday-Friday work
Ability to successfully complete the required on-site meet and greet prior to commencement
