D&T; Hydraulics is a local family-owned cylinder repair & manufacturing business. The company employs over 100 highly skilled employees from Boilermakers, Welders, Fitters, Machinists, Drafts people and TA's. This dedicated workforce is supported by technical, sales and support staff guaranteeing projects and the workforce is managed in a professional manner without compromising, quality, safety or the environment.

We require a motivated & experienced Manual Machinist to join our expanding facility.

We are highly reputable and boast a modern workshop with excellent working and pay conditions.

Job tasks and responsibilities The successful applicant MUST:

Essential:
Trade-qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
Extensive experience operating manual lathes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Competent in the use of measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised while following Supervisors’ instructions
Ability to work effectively within a team workplace
Hold a current driver’s licence and have reliable transport




Committed to workplace health, safety, and quality policies and procedures
Mentor and support apprentices in their development

Desirable (Highly Regarded):
Experience operating horizontal borers
Cylindrical grinding experience
Experience with general MIG welding
