ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a capable and motivated Foreman to join our clients project team at the Middle Cove development. The successful candidate will ideally have a carpentry background and be looking to take the next step into a broader site supervision and management role. The Foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of trades and site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality and in accordance with the project program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Open and close the site each day.
n
Set up and coordinate trades on site.
n
Coordinate daily site activities and ensure trades are working efficiently.
n
Maintain detailed daily work logs and site records.
n
Monitor workmanship and conduct quality control checks.
n
Review trade works against their contracted scope of works.
n
Identify incomplete, defective or non-compliant works and coordinate rectification.
n
Organise and schedule trades in accordance with the project program.
n
Coordinate the sequencing of works between different trades.
n
Monitor project timelines and provide regular updates.
n
Identify potential delays and communicate issues to the Construction Manager.
n
Maintain a safe, clean and organised site.
n




Assist with general site management and project coordination.
n
Attend weekly site meetings with the Construction Manager to review progress and budget.

ABOUT YOU
n
n
Carpentry background required.
n
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman or experienced Carpenter preferred.
n
Strong understanding of residential construction and trade sequencing.
n
Good knowledge of construction quality and workmanship.
n
Robust organisational and communication skills.
n
Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage day-to-day site activities.
n
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site.
n
Strong attention to detail.
n
Keen to develop further skills in construction management.
n
Current White Card.
n
Valid driver's licence.
n
n
REPORTING STRUCTURE
n
The Foreman will report directly to the Construction Manager, with weekly site meetings to review project progress, trade performance, quality, timelines and budget.
