Payroll Supervisor | Sydney CBD (Hybrid – 3 days in office) | Full time, Permanent

About the role

The Payroll Agency has partnered with a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead a complex, high-volume payroll function. This is a true leadership role for someone who wants to run the day to day, set the standard for accuracy and compliance, and invest in developing the people around them.

Key responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end processing of complex, high-volume payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, including workload allocation, reviews and deadline management
Coach, train and develop team members, building technical capability and confidence across the team
Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, award interpretation and compliance matters
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen the efficiency and quality of the function
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure payroll runs smoothly and issues are resolved promptly

About you
Robust hands-on payroll experience in a complex,



high-volume workplace
Demonstrated experience leading, supervising or mentoring a payroll team
Sound knowledge of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Australian payroll legislation
A genuine passion for training and developing others
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure
Confident decision-maker with strong communication and stakeholder skills
