ROLE – Mechanical Engineer

SALARY - $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Brisbane, QLD

My client is an established engineering consultancy delivering complex projects across resources and industrial sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Brisbane on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
2+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering position, working on relevant process plant projects
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Experience across processing operations including crushing, milling, materials handling and wet processing
Previous experience with material handling equipment including conveyors, crushers, chutes, bins and slurry pumping systems
Robust understanding of mechanical engineering principles, calculations and design requirements
Experience designing and delivering mineral processing plants through the full project lifecycle
Proficient with 3D modelling and engineering design software




Able to lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams
Robust communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams

The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
Working on mechanical designs and engineering projects from concept through to delivery
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
Producing 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation
Completing engineering calculations and technical assessments
Reviewing and approving models, drawings and engineering calculations
Supporting procurement activities, including identifying and engaging suitable vendors
Reviewing supplier proposals and technical documentation
Liaising directly with clients and other project stakeholders
Providing engineering support throughout construction and installation
Contributing to the successful delivery of major process plant projects
