Our client is afamily run custom homebuilderwith an established reputation for delivering quality residential homes across the South Coast.
An opportunity has become available within the estimating team, and they are looking to speak withexperienced Senior Estimators and Estimating Managerswho are interested in joining the business.
For a Senior Estimator, there is the opportunity tostep into a leadership role, while experienced Estimating Managers can step straight into the position and take ownership of the estimating function.
About the Role
Working closely with the Operations, Sales and Construction teams, you will play an important role in managing the estimating process across a range of residential projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing detailed residential estimates and quotations
Reviewing plans, specifications and project documentation
Completing and reviewing quantity take-offs and scope requirements
Interpreting soil reports, site contours, bushfire assessments, structural drawings and other relevant documentation
Reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing
Preparing and reviewing variations
Maintaining accurate pricing, product data and estimating information
Identifying and resolving discrepancies through analysis and problem-solving




Working closely with Operations, Sales and Construction to ensure projects are accurately costed
Supporting and mentoring other members of the estimating team
Reviewing and improving estimating processes and systems
Producing reports and maintaining accurate project and pricing data
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Previous experience inresidential estimating, ideally within a custom or project homebuilder
Strong understanding of residential construction, pricing and building processes
Ability to read and interpret residential construction drawings and documentation
Strong experience with quantity take-offs, estimating and pricing
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
Experience managing or mentoring estimators would be advantageous
A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach
Experience with estimating or construction management software
