Your Position
n
As Senior Team Leader, you'll supervise a small team of Team Leaders, labourers and contractors to deliver construction and maintenance projects across roads, footpaths, drainage lines and other council assets. You'll manage day-to-day operations, coordinate resources, and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n
This is a practical leadership role where you'll balance planning and administration with on-site supervision. You'll also play a key role in contractor management, WHS compliance, and continuous improvement of work practices.
n
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
n
n
Lead and motivate a team to deliver civil works and maintenance programs
n
Oversee scheduling, rostering and performance management
n
Manage contractors and procurement processes
n
Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental standards
n
Operate plant and equipment when required
n
Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors and the community
n
n
To be successful in this role you will have
n
n




Proven leadership experience in supervising civil teams.
n
Demonstrated experience in civil construction, maintenance, and drainage works.
n
Strong communication and organisational skills with a focus on safety and quality.
n
Competency in the operation of minor plant and equipment.
n
Proficiency in using computer systems and mobile work management tools (e.g. Assetic Mobility).
n

Key Requirements
n
n
Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification, or at least five years' relevant experience.
n
CurrentNSW MR Driver's Licence.
n
NSWGeneral Construction Induction Card (White Card).
n
Be willing to undertakepre-employment screening, including a pre-employment medical and/or policecheck.
n
Desirable: Traffic Control certification or willingness to obtain.
n
Access to Council's 9-day fortnight.
