We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our growing team. About the Role
n
Working as part of our telecommunications construction and deployment team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, upgrading and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure across a variety of network environments.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Installing and commissioning telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
n
Rigging and mounting antennas, feeders, transmission equipment and associated hardware.
n
Diagnosing and rectifying installation and network faults.
n
Conducting site construction,



upgrade and integration activities.
n
Ensuring all telecommunications installations meet client, industry and quality standards.
n
Coordinating site activities with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
n
Completing site documentation, quality records and testing requirements.
n
Maintaining rigging equipment, tools and test equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
n
Ensuring compliance with all WHS, environmental and quality management systems.
n
Building sites to agreed budgets, programs and quality standards.
n
Assisting with site inspections, troubleshooting and technical support activities.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
Essential
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications construction, installation and commissioning.
n
Experience working on mobile telecommunications networks and wireless infrastructure.
n
Strong understanding of telecommunications installation practices and site construction activities.
n
Ability to interpret technical documentation and installation requirements.
n
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence. Construction White Card.
n
Working at Heights certification.
n
RF Awareness certification.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Telecommunications infrastructure design experience.
n
Knowledge of ISO **** Quality Management Systems.
n
Knowledge of WHS and Environmental Management Systems.
n
High Risk Work Licence including Rigging.
n
Experience working for telecommunications carriers, network vendors or infrastructure providers.
n
n
