About The Role:

Our client, a reputable and highly regarded interior design firm, is currently seeking a thorough and experienced HR Manager to join their esteemed Sydney Studio.

Within this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing all people-related processes, shaping the vision and strategy across the company. You will work to foster a positive and engagement work setting while driving the company’s strategic HR initiatives forward. This role demands a high level of autonomy, requiring you to demonstrate exceptional decision-making capabilities and self-direction.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire recruitment process including advertising, interviewing, and selection
Handle all aspects of employee documentation e.g. job contracts and offer letters
Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires
Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures
Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide support to managers in this process
Manage and monitor employee absences
Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures




Collaborate with departments to create and implement strategic HR plans aligned with business goals
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ensure compliance
Maintain regular communication with the HR Assistant
Provide weekly updates to the global management team

Key Skills/Requirements:
Extensive experience working within a HR context
Proficient in HR principles and practices with a comprehensive understanding of employment law and compliance
Expert in effectively managing redundancies, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance-related matters
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Adaptable and capable of handling highly confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
