About the role

Working alongside a team of qualified Electrical Fitters and Tradespeople, you will assist in the mechanical assembly and wiring of custom electrical switchboards. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role perfect for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and a desire to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing setting.

Key responsibilities
Assist in assembling, wiring, and fitting-off electrical switchboards and distribution boards
Prepare materials, components, and tools required for switchboard building projects
Install components including breakers, relays, busbars, cabling systems, and protection devices
Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings
Complete panel layout and internal wiring in line with design documentation
Perform functional and operational checks
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Assist in process improvements and standardisation

About you
Prior experience as an Electrical TA, production assembler,



or in a similar sheet metal/electrical manufacturing environment
Confident using hand and power tools (drills, riveters, pneumatic tools, hydraulic crimpers)
Ability to read and interpret basic layout drawings
Solid attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the physical capability to handle workshop duties
Punctual, reliable, and bring a positive attitude to the workshop
Ability to follow instructions clearly
