Amalgamated Property Group (APG) is a privately owned Canberra-based property development and investment business with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial and build-to-rent developments. As APG's business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance, governance and strategic direction of the group.

The Prospect

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead financial reporting, cashflow and treasury management, compliance, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis across a diverse portfolio of entities. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
Prepare consolidated management and statutory reports
Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury and funding requirements
Oversee taxation, compliance and regulatory obligations
Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities




Provide financial analysis to support development and investment decisions
Maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks
Drive process improvements and support finance team development

About You

You will bring:
CA or CPA qualification
Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
Robust financial reporting, compliance and cashflow management expertise
Advanced Xero and Excel skills
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and organisational capability

Property, development, construction or real estate industry experience will be highly regarded.
