TRS Resourcing is seeking experienced, trade-qualified
Prime Mover and Trailer Mechanics
to join a well-established heavy transport workshop in Melbourne's western suburbs.
n
This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent, long-term work maintaining a modern fleet of prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers. You'll enjoy reliable workshop hours, plenty of overtime and a genuine pathway to permanent employment.
The Role Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include: n
n
Servicing prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
n
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
n
Rebuilding trailer suspension, braking systems and axles.
n
Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
n
Carrying out comprehensive trailer inspections.
n
Attending to mechanical breakdowns and completing repairs.
n
Maintaining accurate service records through the workshop management system.
n
Working safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.
n
To Be Successful You will require: n
n
An Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Trailer Mechanic.
n




Previous experience working on prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers.
n
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
n
Experience rebuilding mechanical components.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
A current driver's licence.
n
Your own trade tools.
n
Full Australian working rights.
n
Current Melbourne residency.
n
The ability to provide two recent employment references.
n
Desirable n
n
Forklift licence.
n
Experience maintaining a broad range of heavy transport trailers.
n
