About the role

Carcom is looking for an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our Darwin workshop. You'll be working across passenger, commercial, 4WD and fleet vehicles, covering automotive electrical diagnosis and repairs, 4WD and vehicle accessories, communications, tracking, fleet systems and specialist vehicle installations. You'll get variety, responsibility and the opportunity to work on interesting equipment.

Key responsibilities
Automotive electrical diagnosis and fault finding
Electrical repairs and rewiring
Dual-battery and auxiliary power systems
DC charging systems
Driving lights, work lights and auxiliary lighting
UHF and vehicle communications equipment
GPS and vehicle tracking systems
Cameras, alarms and electronic accessories
Switches, relays, fuse systems and custom wiring
4WD and touring accessories, fleet vehicle fit-outs and specialist communications and tracking installations

About you
Automotive Electrical trade qualification
Robust diagnostic and fault-finding ability
High standard of wiring and installation work
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information
Ability to work independently




Valuable communication skills
Current Australian driver's licence
Pride in the quality of your work
Previous leadership, supervisory or team-lead experience highly regarded
Experience with 4WD accessories, fleet vehicles, communications, GPS tracking, satellite equipment or specialist vehicle installations highly regarded

About us Carcom is an established Darwin business offering permanent full-time employment in a Monday-to-Friday workshop role with paid overtime when required. We value proper diagnosis and quality workmanship rather than simply throwing parts at a problem.

Benefits
$95,000–$110,000 base + super + paid overtime, depending on experience and capability
