About the role

You'll undertake planned maintenance, breakdown response, fault-finding and repairs across JBE's customer sites throughout Newcastle and the Hunter. This is a secure, permanent position offering a nine-day fortnight, a fully maintained take-home dual-cab, excellent earning potential and a genuine pathway into a senior position.

Key responsibilities
Diagnosing air-conditioning and refrigeration faults
Completing scheduled preventative maintenance
Responding to breakdowns and service calls
Repairing and servicing commercial HVAC equipment
Working on split, ducted, package and VRV/VRF systems
Testing and commissioning equipment
Identifying repair requirements and recommending practical solutions
Completing accurate service reports and job documentation
Communicating professionally with customers and site representatives
Ensuring every job meets JBE's safety and quality standards

About you
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
Current NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate or relevant contractor licence covering air-conditioning and refrigeration work
Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
Current Australian driver's licence
Construction White Card




Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding skills
Sound electrical diagnostic ability
A professional, customer-focused approach
Positive written communication and job-reporting skills
A robust commitment to safety and quality workmanship
