About the business

Our client is an ASX Perth head officed mining services provider based in East Perth with a solid National and International customer base. The business is seeking an FP&A; Manager to join its finance function.

About the role

Reporting to the CFO, you'll turn operational activity into short-term and multi-year financial plans and give the business the insight it needs to make sound decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work with senior management, operational leaders and the broader finance team.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading the annual budgeting process and preparing budget packs and commentary for senior management and the Board
Maintaining a rolling forecast, with variance analysis and clear commentary
Developing scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic and commercial decisions
Owning the standard cost framework and unit economics, including return on capital analysis
Producing monthly performance and cost analysis, identifying key drivers, risks and prospects




Owning and improving the business's financial models and planning tools, including identifying opportunities to automate and streamline processes
Maintaining the integrity of planning and forecasting data in partnership with IT and operations
Contributing to monthly management and Board reporting
Leading, guiding and reviewing the work of a commercial analyst

About you
CPA or CA qualified
Solid experience in FP&A;, management accounting or commercial finance
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build financial models from scratch
Strong understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present financial information to non-finance audiences
Cooperative, solutions-focused and able to manage competing priorities
Team leadership experience and experience in asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded
