Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team based in Eagle Farm, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing and helping ensure our people are paid accurately, compliantly and on time, every time.

What you'll be doing
n
You'll take ownership of your allocated pay runs from start to finish, making sure everything is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. Your day‐to‐day will include:

Managing the end‐to‐end payroll process, including time and attendance inputs and employee data
n
Ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across each pay cycle
n
Working with time and attendance systems, including interpreting pay rules, testing changes and helping ensure systems are configured correctly
n
Reviewing and processing allowances, deductions, superannuation and other payroll payments
n
Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and year‐end activities
n
Monitoring payroll compliance across areas such as tax, superannuation, working patterns and leave entitlements
n
Investigating and resolving payroll queries, escalating issues where appropriate

About you
n




You'll bring solid payroll experience and be confident working in a complex business environment where accuracy and compliance really matter. Ideally, you'll have:
n

Previous experience in a high‐volume payroll environment
n
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Up-to-date Awards and employment legislation
n
Experience interpreting EBAs and translating pay conditions into time and attendance/payroll rules
n
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, controls, tax, superannuation and employee entitlements
n
The ability to perform off‐system payroll calculations and identify discrepancies
n
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy
n
Robust problem‐solving and analytical skills
n
Clear and professional communication skills
n
A strong customer‐service mindset and genuine focus on the employee experience
n
