Jethro Canteen is a well-established, contemporary cafe in Richmond, known for high-quality food, excellent coffee and a strong local following.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team. This is a full time role suited to someone who takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation, and enjoys working in a busy cafe environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Chef in a busy cafe, restaurant or similar environment
Robust commercial cooking and organisational skills
A genuine passion for quality food and excellent presentation




The ability to maintain consistency and high standards during busy service
Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure
Solid communication and teamwork skills are a must
A positive, professional attitude and robust work ethic
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to take responsibility
Availability for full-time hours, including weekends
Availability for early morning starts and daytime shifts, finishing in the afternoon
Comfortable working within a seven-day café operation
A willingness to contribute ideas and help develop our menu
Immediate availability is highly regarded

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
